That Blows

Local police and City workers arrived at the intersection of 18th and Mill Avenue last night around 9:00pm, to block intersections and begin clearing the debris from a large treetop that crushed neighbor Ron Higgerson's vintage Ford pickup truck and covered a section of 18th street with branches.
Police spotlighted a large widow-maker (a large section of treetop) that dangled high in the branches, posing a threat to property and workers below, which eventually came down in the early hours of the morning.
KIRO news crew and neighbors stood by, watching as workers used chainsaws and hand tools to remove the enormous tree fall from the road.
